ive heard good things about RP in the trans, but my buddy locked up his trans and the shop it was at blamed the RP....i dont see any possible way it was the RPs fault though
generally i stick to mobil1 for oil and trans, and put RP in the rear end only
tons of people have good results with it in the trans tho
From what i've seen it's more hype than reality. I'm sure it's good stuff, but i doubt it's any better than good old Mobil 1. Same goes for their engine oil too.

will never use their engine oil....ive seen what it does to cars....theres pics on here of a sludged up 4v motor that only had like 15k or less on it and the oil had been changed on time each time

It's interesting that you say that, because DTS out here in MI (a very reputable drivetrain specialty shop) says that the RP gear oil has messed up a few cars that have came through their shop.

when i blew up my rear end i had FRESH rp gear oil in my car...less than 1k miles on it
i did beat on my car pretty badly, but it was a bolt on gt with gears...nothing serious at all, and i shredded my spider gears
i have no proof that the RP was to blame, but who knows
i have RP in my trans and have used it for the last 2 seasons with no issues. and my trans is holing more than double its factory tq rating at nearly 900ftlbs.
