New Member. Modding help
hello everyone I just recently bought a 99 cobra with 100k on it for 5k. I'm looking for some modding help since I can't figure out what is best.
Anyway, I'm looking for a set of black rims, exhaust kit, and if anyone can recommend mod's I should do right away.
Thanks,
John

First off, welcome to the forums. Second off, that is an outstanding deal that you got on that cobra. Third off, we want pics.
Now to your question. A set of 4.10 gears, a short throw shifter, and your choice of exhaust. Those will be your best options IMO.

some form of intake is also a good idea. its cheap, makes power, sounds better, and improves mpg's. Aren't 4.10's a little steep? you'll be on the interstate doin 2200 rpms at 60 mph. I would say 3.73's or at least 3.91's for a daily driven street car. Just my opinion. but i agree intake exhaust and gears are the best way to liven up that cobra ---Last 5.0---

Thanks for info. Now sorry if this is a stupid question but what is a tune and how do I go about getting one? The car already has a cone filter on it, but I don't know if it's a CAI or something factory the cobras came with? Also could anyone recommend the best sounding exhaust for my car? I'm taking a like to the SLP loudmouth 2 since the loudmouth 1 seems wayyy to loud. Heres some pics

edit: You need to call around and find a local performance shop that is reputable. Ask them what type of tuner they prefer to use and buy that tuner. Then when you need a dyno tune, you will have the equipment they prefer. Youtube is your source for exhaust sounds, everyone has their own opinion. Gears, exhaust, and tune...you will be rockin.!
Sick car and sick deal by the way.

Rip the engine out, Forge the bottom end, throw some sick a$$ cams in, throw some 3.55 gears in, all the suspension work and a super charger. Then boost the **** out of it, then call it a day.
O and Welcome to the forums and Sick cobra by the way.
