Default Anyone else get annoyed with the 'Low Oil' light coming on randomly?

First, let me say that I know for a fact that the amount of oil in my GT is fine. That being said, the Low Oil light comes on regularly under certain conditions:

1. If I park on a downward incline (nose of car facing downhill).
2. If I shut off the engine briefly (such as when getting gas), then start it back up within a couple of minutes.

Anyone else have this happen to them? I find it to be annoying. As soon as I shut off the car (parked on a flat or upward inclined surface) for 10-15 minutes, when I start it back up, the light is off. Obviously, this indicates that the light comes on because the sensor is not submerged in oil, even though the oil quantity is fine.

Seems to me that this light is pretty useless, I'm thinking about eliminating it in some fashion, such as removing the bulb. I check the oil level regularly, I'm not worried about having some light tell me that the level is "low," especially when it's proved inaccurate. Anyone else just go ahead and eliminate this light?

Just unplug the sensor from the side of the oil pan. It will NOT leave the light on. Oh and only 96-97 and some 98's had low oil light sensors.

Ah, cool, thanks! I figured if I unplugged it, the circuit would be broken and trip the light. Good to know.

It's on the drivers side. I just unplugged mine and taped it off.
