i had my car up on ramps and jackstands when i was working on the headers. after i lowered the front of the car, i went to drive the car off the stands holding up the rear. as soon as i made it over the crest of the ramps, they shot out from under the car like a bullet. it scared the sh*t out of me, and i was in the car lol

i kinda call BS...theres gotta be more to this story...park AND the parking brake, and it still rolled? im guessing you did something wrong, and maybe didnt realize it.... thats like having a vasectomy and getting it on with a chick who had a hysterectomy and still making a baby...

Sounds like he is low on blinker fluid to me...

If it is a true story as he says it is, I would already have those wheels off going over the ebrake system.

parking brake...not e-brake

you dont pull that in an emergency situation, you pull it when you park

Quite true, the days of it being an emergency brake are long past--however it's true on my fathers '29 Business Coupe...

try driving on a hill and applying the parking brake to see if it will hold (stay in car just in case). Maybe the parking brake popped out of place, maybe your gear assembly in the parking brake handle needs to be checked. With it in park it shouldn't move, however if one rear wheel was to be in the air and your LSD is broken it could move backwards... Lots of ifs though... Hope you figure this one out, sounds nasty.

oily slick rams maybe, what kind of ramps? straight flat steel with no protruding holes to grip on if could slide down maybe...?

the only other thing that i could think of that may have caused it was because my dads ramps are for trucks and he wanted to use those so they are really steep. he doesn't even have a truck...idk why he bought them in the first place.

unless the car wasn't all the way up the ramps and the ramps moved a lil, but we checked it before we started. but even then they would shoot out from underneath not roll off. i'll have to ask him if he heard them slip in the garage.

the thing is my dads driveway is sloped on a hill and i always park on it when im at his house and the car doesn't move.

im starting to think the ramps moved, but maybe ill have to look at the emergency brake closely. could the pads just be worn since the car is old? i have read that that could happen.
