+1 first thing i noticed was the thermo mod lol

Who did you go to? I though Houston had a lot of good shops?
I made my numbers on an 87 tune with the back brakes dragging. He didnt even touch the timing because of the brakes. And he couldnt go passed 5k cause once it got around there it was an intense shaking which i found out the porblem later and later sued him for because he didnt put a pilot bearing in which screwed my whole tranny up. So im pretty sure id be over 300 to the wheels (with a 93tune) now that all my problems are fixed. So basically like i said before your cams are way to much for a moderately modded n/a. If you had f/i i could see the use for the cams. It sounds to me you bought them just so your car has a mean idle which is nice but not really the point(at least for me) for modding. If im gonnn spend 500+ on cams yeah the idles a + but as stated in the quote i want it to add some significant power or else i would be pissed.

I dont think that you would want those cams on a car with f/i...too much valve overlap probably and you'd be blowing all your boost right out your exhaust valves. lol

comp cams must be degreed?
ant cams u put into yur stang shud b degreed not just comp cams man. in most 2v stangs the cam gears being indexed out is what throws cams outa sinc, not comps way of producing their cams. actually did u kno the machine that makes comps cams is litterally over a million dollars, it is so acurate that i have only heard of maybe a cuple errors and tht was the operators fault for entering in the wrong numbers. also cams are ground in 100s of pairs not one at a time so if one was off a crap load wud be off which isnt the case. CMS,HITECH,AND COMP shud all b degreed just to make sure. stock cam gears can b off + or- 4 degrees. and with the advance ground into comp cams thatl put any valve into yur piston no matter what!

Have the 262ah stage 1's and love the idle and power they make. But I have flat top pistons. With your year, if you can afford stage 1's, you can afford stage 2's. It would always be best to buy springs no matter what. Same labor for either swap, why not do it right.

I've installed 262ah several times straight up without issue. My buddy eric swears by them but I think they're junk compared to my Cusmans cams.

I would look elsewhere than comps. I did about 10 hours of research collectively looking at all the different cam grinds and comparing dyno charts..etc

The best cams that I found consistently were always hitechs and CMS. From there for me it went down to what LSA do I want to run. I chose the slightly larger LSA of the hitechs because the car will be more streetable(not saying CMS arnt, but the lower your LSA the less vacuum your running). Im tuning my own car after I get done with the swap so anything I can do to make my car easier to tune is a-ok with me lol.

happy hunting.
