2002 mustang X-pipe help.

UPR or Pypes is going to be your cheapest bet for a catted X. I know the pypes is stainless, but it seems like the UPR isn't. I can't remember, its been awhile since I had a UPR pipe. SLP is fine, but its overpriced. I got rid of my catted SLP X because I couldn't get it to stop leaking. Too many joints imo.

That one looks really good. I like that the cats are welded in too, leaves less places for leakage, misalignment, etc. UPR is good, I can attest to that being that I have used their mid pipes before.

From one mineral grey owner to another....Don't buy a pypes. The one I have is the worst mid pipe I have ever seen. To use it with stock headers you either have to use this dumb adaptor sleeve to keep it from leaking or replace the studs in end of the manifolds with bolts The the brackets on them are horribly cheap and break. This resulted in me spending almost as much to repair the bracket as the mid pipe cost. The 2 piece design looks great on paper but I still have leaks. I plan to replace it with a better brand pipe first chance I get when I get to the lower 48. Some people may have different experiences but doing some research you will see lots of people have leak problems with the Pypes.

I have a pypes o/r x on my car and it fits fine. Ive never seen an aftermarket midpipe that bolted up without any exhaust leaks without tweaking. My magnaflow catted x didnt even fit perfect when i bought it new and put it on. And you dont have to do much to fix them. Just get some hose clamps and monkey-rig it. thats what i did and it works like a charm and cost me $20 including x pipe. Best mod ive done so far besides a $50 triax. And the one you posted about looks good but i dont like aluminized exhaust...stainless steel is where its at.
