AFTER EXHAUST AND CAI NO GAIN?
#11
I only felt a difference when i put on my steeda/borla sidepipes they seemed to pull much harder over 4k revs of course i might be imagining it to make myself feel better about spending just under a grand on a catback

You shouldn't be upset because you can't feel a difference.. Just imagine how much louder your car just got from an intake and more importantly the catback...
These 2v's are some of the best sounding cars on the road.. Now you can show people why

Basically everything's been said. I midpipe would be nice to "complete" the exhaust (unless you want to do headers). If you want to do headers don't buy a midpipe now because you'll need a different one for longtubes vs shorty/stock. Gears are very fun, second favorite mod behind the pi swap.
I would tell you to make sure your exhaust isn't leaking and clean your MAF sensor and reset the computer (disconnect battery and touch the terminal wires together for 15-30 seconds to reset the long term learned values of ecu) This will help a little bit esp if the MAF is dirty and hasn't been cleaned ever.

+1 I convinced myself that my car pulls harder up top, which it probably does, seeing that I spent OVER a grand on mine.

your not feeling anything because you didnt really gain anything. changing catback = zero power gain on a stock GT, and CAI is good for like 3 horsepower. if you just spend 700$ expecting to gain heaps of power, it was money wasted. an O/R midpipe is good for some hp and will really wake up your sound since yo have a catabck now.

Does anyone one have dyno charts to show the gains and/or loss. Everyone seems to be saying the cai gives you X amount of hp and the catback gives you none, or vice-versa. Can some one show me a dyno chart as proof. I'm not doubting the gains are small but I would like to see what the actual gain is.

most the time these numbers are done from someone looking at their final dyno numbers and breaking it down. Like my car, started at 215, the pi swapped so 265ish which is about 230rwhp then my headers and O/R H made up the 11rwhp, there is an ok tune on there now... and this was on a mustang dyno and they read a bit lower then say a dynojet dyno.
edit:
here is my dyno sheet, first pull was very very lean around 15.5 and it put down 230rwhp, only adjusting the fuel so it was safe(maybe a little too rich) i gained 11rwhp. I think with more tuning i could have got around 250.

Welcome to the money pit! If you gained 10rwhp from your cai and catback be happy BE VERY HAPPY. But i doubt you gained that much. And +1000 on the seat of the pants method that only works with Nitrous or FI.
