you should definitely be able to find one cheaper- i got my 00 GT with Flowmasters, Steeda TriAx shifter, K&N Cold Air Intake and a sound system with 42,000 miles on it for only 7 grand.
Shop around- you'll find a better deal

My Expedition with a 4.6, same moter as the stang, has 160K on it and it still fires up when I need her. My Stang on the other hand only has 33K on it.

100K?LOL. Dude don't listen to whomever told you that anymore. I've got 130K on mine and its supercharged and I beat the **** out of it every chance I get. 300K is more like it, but even then I still think you could get more out of it.

If your engine only lasts until 100K, I'm going to seriously question your maintenance skills. Any engine will last over 200K if you actually take care of it. My Jeep has 262K miles on it and runs fine for a vehicle its age.

im going to start with a GT, i wont beat it too bad or demand much power outside of basic bolt ons or the smallest Kb SC just for the whine :P like i said, i have a civic that i beat to ****, this car will most likly so the lady friend can get picked up/dropped off with a sexy loud muscle car :P maybe ill do some launchs from here to there, but a GT will do me fine. would doing gears make a drastic feel? i kinda like MPG but ****, im buying a v8... who has MPG in mind when doing that =O

i switched from 2.73's to 4.10's (99-04's have 3.27's) and its much better, completely different car. I use to get 29mpg highway with the 2.73's and 20 city, now with the 4.10's i get around 25mpg highway and 20-21 city. mileage is directly related how hard you get on it.

Whats wrong with the 96-98s? ridiculous... hahaha

And definitely go with gears. Its such a difference. If your gonna go s/c i dont konw if i would go as steep as
4.10's. But gears are a great mod on our cars.
