To be honest, you're probably more like 250-255 hp right now. I'm at 269 with a 5-speed, long tubes, and a custom dyno tune.

There is an very small chance that you will make 300 rwhp with just cams. You will need some light headwork at minimum to make that number.

why are you trying to avoid a s/c or spray? why not do it right the first time around? just to let you know, these motors suck as far as n/a power is concerned. you will spend the same amount of money as buying a blower just to get 100rwhp less with a n/a setup... just food for thought...

true, but i think its more impressive getting higher HP numbers N/A. anyone can throw a blower on a car and get XXX HP.

if i had funds/time/resources id try to get highest N/A power and TQ i could. plus if your talking on a stock bottom end then its a ticking time bomb

to do a S/C right i would think you would basically build an engine around it.

tim is trying to say that you arent going to make alot of HP NA regaurdless... why do people get on this "anyone could throw a blower on a car" bs attitude??? well anyone can spend money on a NA motor ITS JUST NOT THE SMART THING TO DO WITH OUR CARS TO REACH HIGH HP

go ahead and spend a few grand just to get a 13/12 sec 300hp car , ill take the blower and run your **** to the ground with a few bucks left over lol. I like the idea of a built motor, but high NA hp on our modulars just aint happenin. good luck

you prove my point, becasue its hard to get high HP out of these motors is why its more impressive when you do see one. knowing alot of time and effort went into it.

yes i can spend a few grand throw it on my stock GT and have easily 330+.....simpls, buy it bolt it on tune it away you go.

not looking down on people who do it. if its ur thing then good, it dont bother me. just stating my opinion. I do not disagree its harder and more money to get high HP N/A

there is no such thing... especially with th 2v 4.6l.
If you want high hp n/a, you need to go to a bigger displacement/better motor for this. If the average guy could build a high hp n/a 4.6, dont you think quite a few ppl would have/be doing this already. Instead everyone realizes that it is simply not worth the coin to do so. Just trying to give you some advice here... Its your car, do what you wish with it, just sit back and really think about what you're saying here... and what its going to take to get there.
n/a, and i say 320rw max... not "high" hp by any means... now take the same amount of money and buy a good blower... now you have 400+rw. Maybe its just me, but i think this is a no brainer....

that is the stupidest thing iv ever read..

any monkey can buy bolt ons and cams and throw them on a motor to.. WTF is the difference lol.

The ONLY reason i even bought cams/full bolt ons is because I dont want to have a blown vert.. id rather have a coupe for doing that...which I will..in the form of a cobra lol.
