Hmmm i haven't heard of much gain from this. But i guess it makes sense.

I have not seen any difference in tuning or MPG yet. My wife's 03 still gets the same 23-25mpg w/ 3.55's and the tq/hp didn't have any "noticeable difference" in driving and still makes 250rwhp 300tq.

It may work out nice on paper and math but has very little (if any) impact on anything if you keep it or delete it. If it does have a negative impact, it's more than taken care of in the tune, whether the tuner is doing it intentionally or not.

I respect everything Cliff says, I just can't agree that it's a necessary item.

OP if you want to delete the entire assembly, you can use a 5/8th brass cap from Home Depot and you'll be able to take all that un-needed stuff out now. Then cap your vacuum line.
