convert my 97' coil packs to coil on plugs?
I want to know if it is even possible to convert the dual coil packs on the front of my motor to have the coil on plugs like the newer motors have? I think it would be a nice way to clean up the motor bay by removing all the spark plug wires and make the car more reliable.

I looked into this too a few months ago. when i pi swapped my GT i got 8 COP's with the deal, but it turns out you'll need a new engine wiring harness to make then work.

I found this on TCCoA
http://forums.tccoa.com/showthread.p...cop+conversion from the way it reads if you know anything about wiring all you have to do is run a positive and ground to each COP back by the firewall where you can tap in for current. the other option is to use something like a MSD Ignition Module. I'm still reading into it though. |

I used that same diagram.... I had the connectors from a 5.4 harness so I lucked out.. but the rest is just running and soldering wire. Definitely not difficult at all. And for me, totally worth it. The engine bay looks 10x better!
