$5k is enough to do a stroker kit. However, buying a high end kit that is already balanced saves time and machine shop costs. My point is, unless you want to do the research, just buy a kit.

The Brian Crower kit, for example, is around $4800 (keeping in mind it has a billet crank- which may not be necessary for your application). On the other end would be the stroker kit from Hawaii Racing, which runs $1600 fully balanced http://www.hawaiiracing.com/?page=sh...roduct_id=5532. Even Stage 3 sells some nice stroker kits for the same price.

sorry for panicing, yeah i was looking at the stage 3, the hawaii seems cheaper would this stroker kit work with a supercharger and mainly would i be a ticking time bomb or would i be good for a reliable 400hp cause my goal is not to be a ticking timb bomb!

I do not have personal experience with stroker kits but 99% of stroker motor owners on this sight say they are a waste of money. if you are looking into a good RA here is a good site to look at.

There are a some extra things to consider when stroking- additional angle of the rods (to the crank and clearance to the block), piston speed, valve clearance and compression change.

With that said- going from 4.6 to 5.0 should be fine with the stock cams and moderate boost. It will be a killer combination with the blower you want to run. Just be sure that you're blower kit keeps the fuel mixture when safe limits.

Lastly, I think many people overestimate the gain that stroking makes (by itself). Your primary gain will be more torque- specifically lower to mid range power (torque and horsepower).

this is what im doing decided finally, hawaii racings stroker kit, 03 cobra block machined and ready, pi swap, with a p/p job on the heads, that would be all my 5k with all that getting a pro install then i would have to buy the supercharger peice by peice, but from my understanding the stroker kit would be forged internals correct? cause thats my whole deal i want o be forged?
