Depends on the rod. I beams are lighter.

Are they stronger or just lighter? I always thought that if you are going to make a lot of power, the H beams were better because they were stronger? I'm not questioning you asking for clarification.

I always thought the Hbeam rods were better in high rpm applications, in which a 5.4 isn't gonna spin most likely, so a forged I beam should work if my assumption was correct.

+1 on Manley. Look into DSS racing as well. They have some pretty solid stuff.

You could make a ton of power on twin 56's.

Ok i think the I beam, H beam confusion comes from a few differences in pushrods and mod motors..

When talking about pushrod motors, I beams are ussually your budget build stuff..
And forged H beams are the top notch stuff.

When talking about modmotors.. H beam is what is found in the 03 04 cobra motor, and in most every forged shortblock build..

BUT, if you have the money, or want the best, You do I beams, The difference being...
H beams are forged, and THe top of the line I beams are billet..

So dont look at it as I and H

Look at it as FORGED OR BILLET..

I would do twin 61mm turbos..

but twin 57s could do 800rwhp... if thats all you are looking for.

Glad you can explain it better than me. Also, most people don't know about "Billet" vs. "Forged" Billet is High rent and a lot stronger.
