Default Dimebags car...aka headace, the full story

So I haven't posted in a while about much, figured I'd give a recap and update on the car.

Bone stock it was apperantly a "factory freak" in other words I drove the **** out of it and went 13.72s back to back to back. Did some work to it, got the car to go 12.01s, again, back to back to back, very consistant. Made some changes, I know for a fact that it had high 11s in it. With the only pass I made it had a 115mph, 3 more then the 112 when it was running 12.0s. But a tap stoped me from getting to run it again. Fast forward some, the tap ended up becoming a broken rod. On the same day, a coworker wrecked his 96 town car...100 bucks later, I have a npi motor, swap out my top end and its ready to go in. So cool, spend a weeks worth or work days pulling both motors out, swapping parts and getting it in and running. It was rich, had a wierd sound and no *****... Cam timing was off, so fixed that in car and its a lot better but not perfect. Drove it for like 2 weeks, and what do ya know, a tap again...which turned into a few spun rodbearings very very quickly. Have a shortblock at home, going to swap parts to it and try again... Just before I set the 1st head on I notice a bent valve...so now the heads are at the machine shop I used to work at, hopefully ill have them back by fri... If I do I want the motor in by the end of the weekend. This has been a LONG process...

Wow Lots of work in a short amount of time.

I can't believe the little amount of work I have had to do. Just regular maintenance stuff, like oil changes, front brakes, fuel filter. It's almost at 240,000 kms and I bought it at 220,000 kms

Not quite...when the rod broke it bent the valve, I was just in a rush puting the 2nd motor together n didn't look, my mistake. The bent valve was causing my problems, with motor 2. And the other cam was off 1 tooth, retarded, so no ptv issues

Well, he needs to have a car to drive doesnt he?

He just called me a few minutes ago, looks like the heads are no bueno..

Cam journals are scorched and cams dont look too good either. I think thats what he was tryna tell me..Either way, looks like he needs some heads.
