The UPS man came bearing gifts today

You're gonna like it. I just did the same thing a little over a month ago; the only thing I didn't like was that the Clutch Adjuster Kit came with no installation instructions or adjustment directions. I had to print out the page from maximummotorsports.com for that info. Also, watch out on that Spec TOB; a lot of people say it's a p.o.s. (one of the reviews on AM's website mentioned his TOB taking a crap after only 60 miles, others here have had issues). I've got almost 1,000 miles on mine and just a couple days ago the TOB started making a little light noise, so now I'm thinking I need to call AM and see if we can figure something out. I paid $350 for the install, and I am not paying for labor (again) to drop the trans and replace a defective or otherwise incompetent part (TOB noise is why I ended up replacing the whole clutch/flywheel setup in the first place, the factory clutch, at 82K, was still in great shape with only about 50% wear).

I am in the exact same position. Ready to ditch the spec stg 2 for a different clutch or swap it for a stalled auto. I just don't think the clutch cables last like they should with the stg 2, lol. I have had the clutch for about 4 years now, since then didn't they redesign the stg 2 so its not as stiff?

I wouldnt get a SPEC. I drove a car with a spec in it and with a centerforce and the centerforce is a much nicer clutch. I mean the DF is such a nice clutch in my opinion. You can get it from summit for $340 and the stage 2 spec is right around the same price and the centerforce holds more, has an easier than stock feel, and i havent heard anything bad about them ever. So i will highly recommend the Centerforce DF clutch to those of you needing a new clutch soon.
