no brainer. slap a vortech on it. saw a vortech on ebay going to 1500. run 8lbs of boost or more until the car blows up. theres your excuse to go dohc. seems like alot of money to get you the same power you have now maybe 20hp more when u can add 150hp for the same money or less

That could be 100,000 miles from now.

id do it if you plan on staying naturally aspirated. 4v can get over 400rwhp on the stock shortblock with just heads cams and a shortrunner intake. Im selling my car for a 96-98 cobra..

Cobra motor will be better off in the long run of making power...but its more expensive to modify when you get down into the big stuff like cams and valvetrain stuff. Id just stick with the 2v and throw juice or a blower on it and then you dont have to worry about the hastle with wiring harnesses and stuff like that.

If you just want more power supercharge yours. My friends roush stage 3 mustang stock puts out 445 rwhp safely. It would be much cheaper to supercharge yours than buying the engine, harness', computer, all the cooling system mods and fuel system mods needed to install an 03/04 cobra engine in your gt.

If youre thinking about doing a 4v swap, just sell your car, buy a cobra or mach, and be happy at that point in time with your 4v.

Not really. You can probably get about 7k or more for your car and find a 96-98 cobra for about the same money or slightly more. A mach is more like 12k but you can find older 4v for not too much.
