Default Warranty or not

HI all I just traded my 2010 TACOMA 4x4 TRD OFF ROAD for 2001 MUSTANG GT. This GT have 44k Miles on it. Previous owner did not installed any mods on this, totally stock. I financed it for $ 11k Total.

Question the dealer offered me extended warranty for $2100 for 3/Yrs. Should I go ahead and purchase it or save my money ? I am already short on cash. I see lots of Mustangs on the road, that makes me believe that mustangs are pretty reliable. The reason I had to let go of truck bcuz we are getting deployed when I get to my next unit and dont wanna leave new truck in storage for 12 to 15 months, besides I still owed $27K on the truck.

You don't need the warranty. I would have kept the truck man. If you were going to trade in a 2010, you should have at least went with a cobra or mach. But to each his own.

is it too late to take it back? you payed double what that car is worth...they must have died laughing the second you walked out the door.....and wow...you traded that truck for a 01 gt?? /facepalm

you dont need the warranty, but you may need some oxycontin to deal with the pain in your butthole after you realize what just happened

You need to make your sig picture smaller. 500x250 is the correct size.

$11k for that car seems high. I would pass on the warranty. Nice find though, low miles and stock.

Yeah, forget that warrenty. I bought one of those extended warranty's on my Camaro, and found out that it didn't cover s**t really! Besides the probability you having to spend $2100 on your car is highly unlikely if it's in good condition.

I payed just under 9k total for my 01 GT with 52k on it when I bought it this past spring. But cars are more expensive in Alaska and we don't pay sales tax on cars here. As for the warranty, it's a waste. These cars are very reliable and any mods you do, and you will mod it, will most likely void that warranty. Don't do it

Thanks for honest advice guyz, I will pass on warranty. I trust people here more then stealership. I always had this idea that mustangs are not very long lasting cars, seems like they are more reliable then I thought. I will save that money for 50k Schedule maintenance.

I am not sure what previous owner did with the car maintenance wise. What should I change in the car like PCV valve, fuel filter ?

11k?

thats way to much IMO. I think it would be around 8k at the most. Did you know what these things were worth going into this deal?

The sale price of this car was $9k but with financing / tax, I owe $11k to my bank. I am planning to make 12 huge payments and pay it off.
