4.10s are the only gear to go N/A unless your auto then 4.30s. The rpm difference in 3.73 and 4.10s on the highway is like 200-300rpm lol. So while your enjoying 2700rpms on the highway, the 3.73 guys will be enjoying 2500 rpms lol

I use to be of like mind, but now I've come to realize... 200-300rpms is 200-300rpms. And I would much rather be going down the freeway at 2,400rpms than 2,700rpms.
Haha, I read the title, then barreled into the thread ready to tell the OP they were an idiot and needed to keep their foot out of the throttle....But was pleasantly surprised to see the actual thread.

I have an O/R X pipe with flowmaster 40 series dumped before the axle so right around 2,700 it really starts to resonate. But also like 945LSTANG said, over a long trip, that will really make a difference.
It's funny how people worry about getting good gas mileage in their Mustang. I mean people buy Mustangs to mods them or go fast in and yet they worry about gas mileage? I don't understand that.

money spent is money spent man....
im not looking for some kind of crazy econobox gas mileage. im fully aware that i have to fill up frequently and was aware of what i was getting into when i bought the car. its just nice to be able to save money when possible.

There is a difference between just being reasonable and being ridiculous. In the summer time I like to drive my car to work a lot. Which is mostly freeway driving. I don't think it's unreasonable to want to maintain respectable gas mileage while doing this.
What I find funny is people with poor engine set ups who try to hide behind their gear.
