Default teksid 4.6 or build a 5.4?

ok so i have a teksid short block in san diego out of my 96 cobra that i dont have anymore and im wanting to build a motor for my 04 GT i want to keep it 2V so should i have that short block shipped out to me in va or should i just sell it buy a 5.4 and start my build there in the end im wanting to use TFS new heads and a centri blower either vortech or procharger (whichever i can find cheaper lol) i want to get about 600 to 650 out of her this is gunna be a long term project i want to start the build at the begining of the new year and just cant make up my mind so im just wanting to know yalls .02 also anyone know any good mustang clubs in va?

Is it the blown motor? I'd never re-use any parts of that IMHO

its the same motor but i know my sig says blown motor but really i just dropped 2 valves and the piston made contact to the 2 intake valves and thats all she wrote lol it was just easier to say blew the motor lol but the bottom end is fine just a little mark on one piston where it made contact but i would replace the pistons anyway. lol

true true... i keep going back and forth cuz yeah i already have the cobra bottom end but i just keep thinking of the cool factor and the extra torque i would get out of the 5.4 lol i hate choices haha

Something to think about is the shipping cost from Cali to VA. You can find a mark 8 (which is also teksid) for what it is going to cost to have a motor shipped that far. Plus if your not going to be making an insane amount of power I see no point in using the Teksid

If the shipping is a fair price use the teskid; it was the strongest aluminum block produced.

contrary to popular opinion and as you know... I would run 2v heads, or even better and ported and cammed 3v head. The 5.4 is a better bet for the $, unless you plan on spinning more than 7K rpm frequently .
