Default Summit Racing Seats....

I came across these on SummitRacing.com.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SU...2/?image=large

I know these have been covered, but I couldn't find a whole lot of pictures and or feedback on the search function. Has anyone used these in a 99-04? I have the dark dark charcoal interior, nearly black, and these look like they would be a good match.

Are they comfortable for daily commuting? What about the electronics. To be honest, I would much prefer a manual sliding mechanism instead of that slow and lazy motor that my leather seats have from the factory. Easy install? Can I keep the stock track, etc?

Anything helps here guys!

Happy Holidays,
Sean

Iv heard good and bad reviews. Most love em, some hate em. The only issue iv seen with em is longevity. The stitching on the bolster comes loose on some.

A friend got them a year and a half or so ago--they are a great example of getting what you pay for. After a year the driver's side (most used of course) started falling apart and got ratty looking.

I had them in one of my Novas, "ehh" is about all I could say. I'd drive my nova 170 miles one way to work (Military) and I could never get comfortable. I pulled them, replaced them with a set of Cavalier seats and sold them at a swap meet for $20 less than I paid for them.

So what I am hearing is that they are not that great....ok. Is there any seat out there for our cars that is kind in between these and lets say Hunsaker or Corbeau? Also, I BELIEVE my interior is dark charcoal, I am pretty sure it's charcoal. Some say black, I say charcoal. Anyhow, I really like tan interior. What do you guys think it would look like with new tan seats?

At least go with Corbeau if not Recaro or Sparco. Don't cheap out on something that you use every time you are in your car.

Agreed with The Jmac!

You want to be comfortable in your drivers seat and helps to hold you in place. My Recaro's have been in for 2+ years/30K miles and have no discernable wear, very comfortable and hold me in place 100% secure on AX (even when I forgot my seatbelt on one run!)

I have the FX1 Pro's and they aren't super comfortable but I didn't buy them for that.

Here is an old pic before I installed a roll bar and the back seat.
