Default Ok...am I going to need larger injectors?

Still getting mixed answers on this. Currently my car has the stock 19# injectors. I am installing this week my CMS stage 1 cams and using Sniper to do the tuning. I am eventually going to complete the $1500 super charger build and was thinking now would be a good time to go ahead and do the 42# injectors. Seems most people think with cams and bolt ons the 19# injectors will be pretty much maxed. What do you guys think?

From what i've personally seen, they'll work, but will be pretty maxed out.

BTW, keep us posted on those cams if you will. I'll be doing cams that very similar to yours this winter/spring, and am curious to your impression of them.

So since you are successfully running 42lb injectors, the OP could just buy some 42lb injectors and call it good. That way he won't have to buy injectors twice, right? I've always heard though that you want to run your injectors at the correct duty cycle (85-90%?) and there is a such thing as too big of an injector.

If he does a blower the 42's will be perfect. He could buy them now (not necessary though) and they'll work fine with the cams. He'll just have to retune it.

Either way is fine for now. The only difference being that he'll have to retune for the injectors twice if he buy's them now.

The 19 lb/h injectors are maxed out on a stock GT, that's why Ford switched the the 21 lb/h (pink) injectors in 2002--the 21's in my car run at nearly 95% duty cycle at peak HP...

Id go ahead and get the 42lb ones so you don't have to buy them twice. Im picking up some 24lb injectors right now with my hitech stage 2s.

If you are sure you are going to do the SC later, def get the injectors. Other then that, I have stock injectors in my GT w/ stage 2 cams. (and they seem to do fine w/ fuel delivery)
