That's a pretty loaded question lol. A lot of it depends on what kind of driving you like to do, and what you can afford. I run nitrous, and am very happy with it.

Here's a good article that does some comparing.

Is it a full basic kit (bottle, solenoids, lines, switches, etc.) with a bottle warmer and window switch included for $300? Is it wet or dry? If so (and everything is in good working order) that's a pretty good deal.

If tuned correctly a 100 shot is totally safe. I've been running mine for almost 2 years now without a single problem.

A 100 shot makes a HUGE difference lol. I gained over 100 rwhp and over 200 rwtq, if that helps to put it into perspective for you.

Here's a few cars that were a tight race for me: This is off the top of me head. I know there's a lot more lol.

03-04 Cobra (boltons, exhaust, etc)
01-04 Z06 (had at least exhaust)
04 gt with a Kenne Bell blower (420 rwhp)
2009 Caddilac CTS-V (stock)
97 Cobra w/Vortech blower (450 rwhp)

Even though i only have 370 rwhp, i also have 500+ rwtq. This is what has allowed me to hang with, or beat, other cars with higher horsepower. That's one of the great things with nitrous.

Nitrous is the poor mans supercharger many say lol but in all honsty i would get the nitrous with a good tune because in your case driving alot of miles and what not, with the nitrous you can control when u want your extra boost... and the bottle looks sweet hahahah PLUS ITS CHEAPER.
