Dyno Numbers
Hey sorry for posting a new topic but i figured most people wouldent read the other thread cause is was too long well anyway i got my car dyno tuned last week and it only put down 271rwhp and 283rwtq and i was thinking i dont remember seeing my tuner turn off the traction control hwen he did the runs if he really didnt turn it off do you guys think that is where my missing power is? They were closed today but i will call him tomorrow to see if he remembers turning it off just wanted some opinions from you guys thanks

Peak HP/tq are only one consideration, what does the overall curve look like? What octane fuel are you running?
As for the traction control, it has no effect on anything unless the rear wheels are turning at different speeds--very unlikely/nearly impossible to happen on a dyno...

I thought that traction control worked by monitoring the speeds of the front and rear tires through the abs stuff because i was pulling my car around to a different bay at my dads shop and got stuck in the snow and i was sitting still and my back tires were spinning much like on the dyno and the traction control was kicking in...... i will post a pic of the chart in a min so you can see the curve and i am running 93 oct. its just with the mods i have i should be putting down 280-290 pretty easily...

any ways you will know if you TC kicks in w/ the dyno run because you will un-doubt-ably hear the car "get off the gas" for a few seconds. If that happend, you or the tuner would of immediately noticed and fixed the problem.
I could be a number of things why you are only at 271. 280-290 is very possible. whats ur TQ numbers?

OP, in your other thread you said your car feels better, pulls harder and is much more fun to drive. I wouldn't worry about your dyno numbers and just enjoy your car. There have been threads that talk about all the variables in dyno readings that it isn't worth worrying about.
