Nitto dr's make a great street tire imo. I probably put 5,000 miles on them this last summer, with 4 track visits, and they're barely worn.

I loved em when i had them. They were not good in the wet at least for me. I spun out one night on the turnpike probably the scariest thing thats ever happened to me. I wasnt even doing the speed limit i was driving nice and easy and i came around a curve and i hydroplaned big time. My RR slide out so i corrected and than the left spinned completely around and i was heading backwards for the wall and than i cut the wheel to the left and spun my self forwards again. Luckily it was at like 12pm so there was no one on the road. As far as dry traction they were pretty good. I didnt have them after my 4.10s but without the gears i still spun half of first if i punched it.

Hmm...good review. I plan on goin forced induction in the far future (after college) so i think im just gonna get some 3.73s...although a buddy of mine totalled his mustang a few days ago in the snow and he had a pair of 4.10s he hadn't installed yet, so i may talk to him and see what he might sell them to me for? Kind of cruel but eh i can live with it lol.

Yea, drove with them on the past week and even drove on them in a dusting of snow...but just at like 10mph with the 4 ways on. But yea, the BFG's are great on the street. They wont last as long cus you can actually feel how spongy the tires are even in this cold weather. And when im spinning i can still feel it pulling hard on the cold roads. But i will never take a long trip with them on if they are calling for snow or rain anytime soon. Only run them in the dry or go really slow with the 4 way flashers on.

ok. cause i was looking at them on american muscle and it has a warning stating that they should not be driven in cold weather.

They'll be fine. I know people that have run them down close to 0 degrees all winter and they do just fine.

I would not drive Nittos DRs in cold weather. I would suggest a snow tire for the cold weather and Nittos for the summer.

I cannot speak directly for the Nittos, but I know that my "summer compound" tires get much less sticky when the temp drops below 40 degrees. I suspect that the tires are "safe" for cold driving, but you have to be aware that you won't have the same level of grip as when it is warm.

The only thing that i have against all weather tires is that their treadware is like up arond 500 or so...how can they have better grip when not in any kind of weather like snow or anything than a summer compound tire that has a TWR of like 300 or so. Doesnt make sense at all to me. I can see how the tread patterns make them better for driving in the snow and slop, but the TWR says that they shouldnt grip at all. I dont get it.
