New Tires for Rear
So i'm still running the stock tire size on all four corners but replaced the rears a few months back. The fronts are starting to show signs of wear so i was planning on rotating the tires i bought a few months ago to the front and going with a 275 tire for the rear. Will the stock 17x8 bullitts handle a 275 safely? The car is my daily driver. I was thinking of going with these, any thoughts. There $168 apiece on tirerack, 5 bucks more than NT555's from americanmuscle.

mrtstang and my boy WannaBe are correct 
Take a look at the specs and what is approved width for a 275/40/17" tire. You need a 9" wheel to run such a width for proper performance, wear and safety. You are stuck with a 245, maybe a 255, on an 8" wheel.
If you want to run a wider tire... get a wider wheel.

Had 275 in stock bullits before, they are safe. In the rear you wont have a problem, i would not recommend to put them on the front since the wear really uneven. The wider you can go on front tires is 255, but again as people posted before if the budget is right is better to get wider rims

maybe thats why they arent on there anymore But OP, i heard that those tires are really noisy. Like mudding tire noisy. They do great in the rain from what ive heard...but are LOUD. I was looking into those for my new wheels in 335 wide but they are really noisy so i opted to not look into them any further. Go with the NT555's. They are good. Not loud either

Thanks guys, i guess i'll just wait and get some 10.5 deep dish anthracite bullitts then throw 315's on there. I was hoping to just do the 275 now and not spend money on new wheels but it looks like thats where its gonna lead. I'm actually planning on lowering the car within the next month with h&r lowering springs, does anyone know if there will be any rubbing with a 315 tire on that much of a drop. Thanks
