98 Mustang Gt 4.6 or 95 GT 5.0.. Worth it?

Also, the 98 GT wouldn't sound the same as an 03 - 04 cobra. 2V heads tend to have a more classic muscular sound, which the 96-98 4.6's retain.
the 4V's in the cobra have a raspy, throaty sound.
I'm running BBK headers, downsized to 2 & 3/4 piping, gutted cats with flowmaster glasspacks and downspouts on my 96 GT. Quiet at an idle, but when I put my foot down you can hear me a mile away. Plus, let off the gas and I get the nice pop as my RPM's come down. luckily my car already had the headers, so the exhaust cost me close to $250 after installation.
If you like the raspy deep sound, a customer that comes into my work has a 97 Cobra with BBK headers, 3 inch to flowmaster 40's, then each muffler has dual outlet's that run right in front of the rear tires. Very mean sounding. at my work we charged him around $700 for this setup including headers, but that's also including 4 flowmaster tips that run $60 a piece.
either way, Bassani's not worth it IMO. let alone you won't see a large power difference, about the same as you would with MagnaFlow or Flowmaster. All you get with bassani is sound.

Mares, yea bassani is definitely expensive. Are there any vids or soundclips that you can post regarding that setup? thanks

I'll try to get a decent sound clip of my GT on here.
unfortunately there's not really any way for me to get a sound clip on the cobra until next time he comes in. could be tomorrow, could be next month.
but here's a 96 that's just on youtube. for a sound clip it's not bad, my customer's 97 sounds very similar.

If you want an incredible sound for an incredible price, then check out SSS Exhaust. Mufflers are $46 a piece, and the cat back goes for $379. It's all 304 mirror polished stainless steel. Quality, fitment, and sound are every bit as good as Bassani (sounds even better IMO) but at a much much better price.
