HID's

It has been a while since i have posted and i mean a WHILE but as i get older my eyes continue to get worse and i notice when im driving at night my sylvania bulbs like the "good" ones i think they are called silverlights or something are just not as bright as i need. I was wondering if the HID conversion kit is good with regular head lights or if i should get the projector lights which seem to be more used with the HID's.

Thanks

Just get HID's with the stock headlight buckets. Projectors look terrible. HID's with stock housings will be plenty bright.

HID's in the stock housing is more then fine. I ordered mine from HIDguy.net

He gives a warranty and if you need help installing them they have a help line that will walk you threw it on the phone.

I've heard nothing but good things about ddm tuning hids. Life time warranty and inexpensive too.

I love my ddmtuning sets. So do all of my friends. We ordered a combined 25+ sets or something like that haha.

Projectors will offer more lighting, but the stock housing with some HID's will suit you just fine..Get 9007 bulb 5000k. Dont go above 6k..You'll love it. Get fogs too! They don't do much (unless you have an 03/04 cobra bumper with fogs) but they light up the spots on the sides of the roads and such!

I would recommend a good set of driving lights (Hella or Cibie) rather than HIDs. HID lighting sucks in fog and rain, which is why you see so many cars with HID headlights and incandescent driving and/or fog lights.

Read this article before you spend the money...

Makes sure you aim the lights down a little extra bit if you use the stock lights so that the added glare doesnt blind people, besides that you're good to go.

You mean projectors housings look terrible... on mustangs, because nothing looks more sexy than the very constant, very precise light admitted from projectors with HIDs.

The good part is the stock housings will throw a lot of light out, the bad part is they will throw a lot of light out... all over the damn place.

is there any aftermarket projector headlight housing that doesn't make our mustangs look like toys? I've seen some ok ones for new edges, but the 94-98 there seems to be none...

let us know what kit you get and how it turns out. I'm still in the market to get HIDs too.
