Default Anyone have an X Pipe?

I'm looking to get the best sounding x pipe for my money, since I made the mistake of not getting a Borla catback and settling for Flowmasters for my catback. I would like to know what is truly the best sounding OFF ROAD X Pipe available? I mean, I have heard a lot of good things about pypes, but everyone says that they don't fit right? When you throw on an x pipe, is it all bolt on? I can't remember...

http://www.americanmuscle.com/bassan...pipe-9904.html
289.00 - Bassani

http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...-or-xpipe.html
179.99 - Pypes (Everyone in the review section of this product says that the pipes don't fit, I guess they are too short to bolt up?)

http://www.americanmuscle.com/magnaf...e-9904-gt.html
329.99 - Magnaflow (Yeah it figures this one is the most expensive)

Also, can I get some of these pipes cheaper elsewhere? I wouldn't mind settling for used on ebay, but it seems to me that there are all no-name brands on ebay every time I look. What kind of power gains will I see with a catless exhaust like this? 2-3hp?

I've always heard good things about the Magnaflow x, but i personally couldn't tell you. Just out of curiuosity what made you decide on a x pipe with those flows? Most people would agree that a h pipe would sound better with chambered muffler like flows.

x pipes usually sound much more tinny and raspy with a chambered muffler. h pipes will sound deeper and more muscular.

Yes but will I see an increase in loudness? I am not currently waking up my neighbors, and would like to accomplish that..

Since it will be more raspy sounding it will probably sound louder.

the only differance in x pipes would be fitment and quality really. an x pipe is an x pipe i would assume. just that the bassani and magnaflow are alot more but are stainless steel and would have perfect fitment. the pypes are SS but fitment is iffy. i just got the UPR (from the UPR website) and its not SS and hangs little low for my liking but im going to have a shop fis that for me.

yes everything is a straight bolt out/ bolt in process. here is my thread of the UPR i installed last weekend.
https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...cs-inside.html

i ordered the 99-03 pipe (same as 04 one but does not include 02 extensions, so i got bungs for free and relocated them for my 04) to save the price differance of the 04 pipe.

If you want the best h pipe money can buy, then the MRT h pipe is the best. IMHO, it's not worth the money though, unless your car sees a lot of salt and rain. The 304 stainless will be of benefit then.
