Cobra Brake Upgrade Which Brake Lines?
I just ordered Red 10th Aniversary Cobra Calipers for my conversion. I already have the Banjo Bolts and the 13 Inch Rotors. I want to get Stainless steel brake lines also. My friend told me that the GT and Cobra Brake lines will both work, is he right??
I found these from Americanmuscle.com
Are these pretty good Stainless Steel Brake Lines?

not sure, but what do you know about those cobra calipers fitting w/ stock rims? any idea? (the 17x8.5's)
I was just looking at break upgrades today (well replacing my stock GT ones w/ stock Cobra calipers) but think for some reason that the rotors/calipers will not fit my stock wheels

They will...or they should. They fit 17x9 stock cobra wheels. Its not the width, its the rim diameter. You cant run 15's or 16's for drag wheels without grinding the calipers. But other than that, they should fit. But you cant just replace your stock gt calipers with cobra ones. You need the bigger rotors for the front. You can reuse your stock calipers for the rear brakes cus they are the same as the cobras. All you need for the rear is new rotors and the brackets to move the caliper farther out to work with the larger rotors. This is my understanding anyways.
OP, i will make a suggestion to you. If you were ever going to put a linelock on your car, now would be the time to do it because i believe the SLP kit comes with stainless front brake lines...which is what i presume you are looking for. Im not 100% sure but it comes with lines of some sort and i believe they are the front brake lines that are made to hold the higher pressure of the line lock. Just a suggestion.

Yea, it's the same thing as the Mach 1 upgrade. I used the exact same lines, and they are fine. Totally fills the rims, but they fit. The ss lines are left and right specific though. I hadn't thought of doing the line lock at the same time.
It's totally worth it.
