Here in Florida it would be a $4500 to maybe $6000 car, the low miles helps, but it's a 9 year old, not in any way unique, automobile. I paid $12k for my '03 premium package GT, with 30k miles, in December of 2006...

yup...These run about 6 to 8k around here. 03/04 with low miles hit 10/12k

KBB puts your car around 7k. I'm not sure people would pay over 1k over value unless it was crazy modded.

Seems to be most people selling GTs around here are wanting 8-11K for one with 60K+ on it. You gotta remember though that KBB is only accurate for your average cars. It put my dads 92 5.0 convertible with 24K on it at $5800 and he sold it for $12K.

If you want to sell it fast. Search AutoTrader.com or what ever is in your area. See what other people in YOUR area are selling their Mustangs for and price it around what they are asking. If you are allot higher than everyone else you will never sell the car
On a side note I don't understand your logic on selling it. You say it's because your sick of 2 payments but in the same post you say you want a truck. Wouldn't that keep you at 2 payments?

Im going to sell the Mustang, and take the cash left over from paying it off and put that with my VW to trade on a truck.

Plus I live in the country now, so I want to get a late model F150 4x4. The Ford dealership in town offered me $5500 for it trade in, saying that its too old to sell on their lot and I'd be better off to sell it myself. I figured I could get at least twice what they offered me,
THATS A RIP OFF, i just traded my 2000 GT vert (in the signature) for an 03 Cobra Vert, i kept the lightbar, hid lights, headlights, subs and some other things form the gt to use it on the cobra and with 136000 miles i got $5000, yes 136000 miles.

I sold cars for a while and let me tell you. If you are not in a hurry i will recommend you to do your homework and look at trade in options and hit the dealers, they want to sell you a car, but if you are deseperate to get rid of the mustang they are going to rip you off.

When i was looking for the cobra I showed up with a folder containing a crap load of info in another cobras wich i already test drove, this let them see that i had options and if i didnt get a good deal with them i will go to their competition. Between that an cutting the bs i think you could get at least 10k form a dealer if not more.

The problem with selling a car as a private owner is that you can get lucky and sell it the first day or be waiting for months, as i said do your homework and look at options first.
