its kinda of the same concept of sct's chip by what i have been told, i talked with the guy for a while about it, but i ordered sct's chip through AM and i was told there was no difference between the custom tune on the chip and the custom tune they do on the X3 handheld when i called them, so i had them make me up a custom chip due to price and i would just put it in myself, and i gained approx 2.25hp and just under 2 lbs of torque to the rear wheels, that was on their performance tune on 91 octane (cali's highest besides race gas) and so im really skeptical about "custom" pre-tuned tuners, but i dont understand how going from 3.27(stock gears) to 4.10's will not lower your mpgs if yet in 5th gear when your criusing at 75mph you'll be at higher rpms over stock, please explain why that wont lower your mileage?

where at? I live in Bakersfield.

When driving on the highway, Im right at 2500rpm at 75. But its a rare occasion to see me driving 75. In general i drive about 60-65 in a 55 which is what most of the highways are around here and that puts me right around 2000rpm and i get great gas mileage. I mean you are higher up in rpm with the gears, but you arent bogging the motor and when you go to accelerate you dont need as much throttle to get going faster and when maintaining speed, it takes less throttle to maintain. And where i live, there are hills and mountains everywhere on the highways and im constantly going up and down hills. But i will get around 280 miles to this tank by the time its done and that consisted of driving back and forth to my school(70 miles one way) and all the around town driving and having fun on back roads. And it usually only takes 13 gal to fill up from right around the E so thats over 20mpg. I used to get maybe 250 doing this same kind of driving before the gears. 4.10's arent as bad as everyone makes them out to be. I almost got pulled over before though for going 65 in a 65 because i had an o/r x pipe and flows and past a cop and he thought i was speeding making that much noise but i was doing the speed limit

i dont understand how that is possible, my car does that and i know for a matter of fact i have stock rear gears 3.27's i believe ad one of my good buddies car spins at 2400 doing 70 with 3.73's, i just cant wrap my mind about how thats possible, but 280 to a tank is 21-22 mpg not 26 is there something that could cause your mpgs not to decrease because i need some help understanding, i dont mean to be a punk i just want to be able to understand why you know?
