Questions for the guys that have done a PI Swap

Yes, you can put hose on the head bolts to hold them there then remove it. The tensioners are suppose to stay open, you have to compress them and put a paper clip in a hole to hold them closed for installation.

Also when buyin gaskets and seals do i need to order for my 97 since im using my 97 timing set up and value covers. Also i just ordered a Pi intake manifold will that still work please get back to me asap thanks

Most of the stuff is the same, count the bolts on the heads to make sure they aren't windsor style heads, they'll still work if they are, you will just need new valve covers and bigger bolts that hold the timing cover to the heads. The windsor style heads have a 13/14 bolt pattern and the romeos have 11 on both valve covers. the timing cover gaskets are all the same for 2v I think but you can specify 97 to be safe. Don't worry about intake gaskets yet since your intake may be the o-ring type if you ordered it new.

Are though's your numbers before or after the pi swap? I had mine dynoed before i started the pi swap and i put down 208wrhp/280 torque and im hoping for to get right around 250/300 just with the swap. Then add UDP, Long tubes, a 75mm throttle body. Then maybe get to 270/320 i think it can be done i hope.
