it looks like the swap were for the 96-98 models it will work for the 99-04?

Yes it will work. 97 and 98 Mark VIII motors have COPs, which is what your engine has now. If you found a 93-96 engine it will have coil packs. I am sure that you will be able to switch your COPS over to an older engine to make it work if an older engine is what you come up with.

well i found a 98 mark VII engine with 34000 miles for $995 shipped with a 120 day warranty. i think I'm gonna go that route. and everything should hook up from mine?

ok so i had another question. if i do find an older engine for cheaper, i know i will need to change the intake. i have a brand new in box intake manifold for the original engine. will that fit on the mark VII engine?

no it wont, i do know you will need a cruise control cable, and if you dont buyt he wiring harness from the donor car you will have to splice a few wires. a guy on svtp did it i ill see if he will chime in over here for ya

You are quite far but I have a motor in my garage with 97k miles on it that is 100% complete with intake throttle body valve covers the works let me know if you are interested man
