Default Went to the track with nt05r

So it was the first night out for me on the spray and the new nittos and I was spraying out of the hole and it spins just a tad but I cut a 1.7 60 foot and 1/4 time was 12.5 @ 107. So I am pretty impressed with the tires.

nice times! with a few more times at the track, you might be able to creep down in the 11.xxs. 5 speed or auto?

the nt05r seem like they are going to be a great tire i have a set of those and a set of mt's and the nt05r seem like a softer compound than the mt's

Very cool! If i spray in first with my Nitto 555R's i usually spin pretty bad. Then again 528 rwtq and a 3.90 gear isn't helping much either.

Other than the track how do you like the tires so far?

Give us your mods and how much nitrous. I'm gonna guess a 5 speed. 1.7's are pretty decent if you dont have much suspension work.

^^^And his car is a vert if i remember correctly from the pics a couple weeks ago. I just wish that they would make some better sizes for us with 18" wheels. The profiles of those tires are just WHACK!!!

what do you expect you have 18s you cant run a big side wall with that big of a wheel alot of times you sacrifice performance for looks

Not really. I mean other companies make the proper drag radial size for that 18x10/10.5 wheels. BFG, NT555R's, MT's, Hoosier all make either a 305/35 or a 315/30 drag radial that fit those size wheels. So why all the odd sizes with this tire??? I dont know what kinda vehicles people are putting 315/40-18's and 305/45-18's on but those are 28" and 29" inch tires respectively. Thats nuts. Ive never seen someone use that size tire on a mustang and i didnt think something like that would look right on a vette or camaro or something. But i know you wont get the same results with an 18" wheel just because, keeping the same height tire, you will have a shorter sidewall giving less traction. But you can still get good results at the track with the 18" drag radials.
