Default Decklid went in for paint today

Just excited!! Took the decklid in to the body shop today. Should get it back by early next week dependin on how busy the body shop is.

My new wheels are coming tomorrow, from AM.

Once it gets warmer, I'll have a completely different looking car!! Need 50 degrees to put on my stripes and paint the calipers and that is probably when the wheels will go on.

And of course, I'll have the shaved decklid at that time too!!

I'm pumped!

Wow sounds like your car will have quite the visual change by the time you're done. What rims did you go with?

When the weather breaks we should meet up sometime.

Gunna look pretty cool. Haven't really seen those wheels on these cars. Isn't the backspacing unusual for our cars? How much are you paying for a shaved/repainted decklid? I hope you are shaving the FORD emblem as well?

hey, they are the replica wheels AM sells. So they have the right spacing for our cars.

And I'm paying under 100 bucks for the painting and some small body work. I know the guy at the body shop, so they're helpin me out, which is awesome.

I actually took off both emblems and filled in where the key hole was. So it should be A LOT cleaner looking.

Its gonna look good. I did mine last weekend (spoiler delete) and blacked out the area between tailights and the rear bumper indentation. Moved the GT badge over to cover the holes left from the FORD badge. Also removed the front bumper grill and blacked out that area too. MUCH cleaner look...

ya price was great. and ya, i cant wait. i filled the holes by the ford emblem, so it wont have any emblems on it, at least to start. i might decide to put a GT emblem back on, or a diff kind of emblem... but we will see how it looks.
