Coilovers arent really worth it on IRS cars IMO. They take the wheel rate from 33% to like 50% or something like that. Its only a 17% increase. Now from a solid axle, it is more worth it seeing that the increase is from 50% to 110%. Now that would be worth doing. But not so much on the IRS. Just saying...

Not worth it....I beg to differ lol. one of the scariest rides in a mustang iv been in was an IRS with coil overs at an autocross event. Iv been in an SRA TA/Wats link car also.. thats pretty much the best option as far is an SRA goes.

Yea, i can see what youre saying. I still think i might try to go with an 03 cobra irs. That'd be the best bet for me i think. Plus i would like to switch for 3.55's anyways.

Haha i hear ya there. But you said that the only mods to the IRS are the bushings...thats really all the guys with the cobras do besides a diff brace really. Oh, and get some MM low profile IRS bolts while youre installing the thing in there incase you ever go with some fat meats. But yea, all a lot of people really do to the IRS are the bushings and the brace and they are usually set. But i see that you have much more on your mind than that if youre going with $4k in parts alone. Hope some of that install is going to be you or youre going to be paying that much or more on install. Best of luck man.

How do you corner balance a non-coilover IRS car? You can't... They are worth it.

I am surprised you went IRS. You had chosen SRA last time I knew.

Make sure you do all the bushings and don't waste your time with urethane. Go delrin/aluminum.

I had, buuut it wasnt something set in stone if I could find someone to swap with before I pulled the trigger on all that stuff. The great thing is, there is ALWAYS someone willing to trade for an IRS, so if I dont like it I can always get an SRA back easily lol.

Nice. I have a friend willing to swap but I am sticking with SRA.

Make sure you get all the bushings done while the IRS it out.
