Found adjusters and quadrants on AM.com.

Is this a fairly simple install?

Sitting in nephews car once, after he had a new clutch installed, I remember he was speaking of some cable thing. Compared to my stocker clutch, you could breath on his clutch pedal and make it depress.

Is this what that cable would do for me? And, where can I purchase? Would AmericanMuscle.com carry what you speak of?
Please just use the parts I typed. The STOCK cable is best. If yours sticks.....replace it with STOCK.
UPR make great firewall adjusters(Click Stop) and quadrants. Just call 'em up on the phone and tell them what you want if their site confuses you on what to buy. Get the cable from the ford dealer.
MGW shifter can be ordered on line.
Follow what I'm telling you and you'll stand a MUCH better chance of learning to shift like you want.

Refill the tranny with 3.0L (3.2 qts) of fluid, per TSB 04-15-6. One of the issues found was that with the 3.8L inital recommendation the tranny gears were spinning down too fast during high-speed shifts (think of trying to run in 2 feet of water), and the sychros could not do what they do.

The lesser quantity of fluid reduces the dynamic drag...

Man, thanks for the help.

They make firewall adjusters, Single Lock firewall adj. and Double Lock firewall adj.

Also, a Speed Release Quadrant or Triple Hook Quadrant.

Is one better than the other? Which one is for me?

3.0L (3.2 quarts) is the amount of fluid to use in the Tremec 3650 transmission--it has nothing to with the engine displacement...

How many miles are on your car, maybe its time for a new clutch or firewall adjuster? I honestly dont know but I suppose that could be your problem?

Power shifting=nailing the clutch while still on the gas
speed shifting=quickest possible shifting with lifting off the gas.
Clutchless=what the name implies.

If you want an easier time shifting hard, get a short throw shifter and a clutch quadrant.

BTW, dont back sass Cliffyk like that. He is one of the most respected members on here.

40k miles. Carfax one owner, in mint condition. Not bragging though. I'm sure its my sloppy rookie shifting that's causing my problems.

Going to listen to Mach1Marauder and purchase that adjuster and quadrant. They are fairly cheap and he seams to swear by them.

Just hope its a fairly simple install.
