S197 Gt is not a bad car. I had one before I sold it for my terminator. The 3v responds very well to mods, especially the intake/tune. IMO thou the car just does not feel like a mustang. It feels pretty big and the drive-by-wire is crap. It seems that the S197 really is love by the older crowd 30yrs old +. I know my dad loved mine lol.

Take another car when you take the kid out on the road!!! I wouldn't worry about rolling your car though. Drive conservatively and you shouldn't really have any problems. I'm sure you are a competent enough driver that has been driving for a long time. Do your maneuvers without the kid in the car But i get what you are saying for if something crazy really does happen and the car rolls. Do light bars do anything in terms of helping with rolling? Or are they just a piece of plastic that will crush on impact?

Light bars have a hollow piece of aluminum in them that will most likely crush and cut your head off. LOL they are for looks only.

Yeah I kinda figured. They should make them almost like a roll bar!

The new-edge Mustangs have a 5-star NHTSA roll-over rating).

The 2003 Explorer has a 2-star rating (as do the Expedition and Excursion)

You can look up NTHSA ratings here...

Cliffy, you posted non-valid links!!!! But that's nice to know. I can only imagine people with lowered new edges must be at a 6 star rating or something

+1. I went off from a pretty steep incline doing 60MPH dodging a cow and didn't even come close to rolling. Check this out. It's kinda difficult to tell, but it's nearly 12 feet to the bottom of the road here. I went off the road where the arrow is, slid completely sideways for about 70 feet or so and landed at the bottom facing back the opposite way I was coming:
