I recently sold my 1995 Cobra and bought a 1996 Cobra and I'm loving every minute of it. I have to say this modular motor is a much better engine. It has Flowmasters and thats the only mod, I want to do an Intake and possibly a tune does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome! First Mods i would do is 4.10's or 4.30's and a shifter. Those Cars really need a Steeper Gear

Well how would 4.10's affect the gas milage of the car because its still my daily driver after all. I also want to be around like 300rwhp do you think a K&N Intake and a tune could do that? I was thinking I should be able to get that fairly easily but I'm not 100% positive on that. And how much of a difference would I feel with 4.10's I've heard a lot about how 3.73's are better for daily driving but still have a nice kick when you get on the throttle. I also heard that 4.10's are horrible at speeds higher than like 95

Who is doing speeds higher than 95? The only situation you really would be is the track and you can rev the **** out of those cobras so you shouldn't have a problem crossing the traps in 4th with 4.10s.

the way i think about it is like this. Those cobra's dont make much power below 3000rpms. like 150 or something. so if you keep it below that you should be fine. I had 4.10's in my GT and got 27.6 on a 250 mile trip. It was my DD too, i drove it everyday no matter what.

No you Wont be close lol, you'll need Full Bolt ons and a short runner intake to get that.

Not true, In my GT 150 was no problem, and i didnt have to downshift to 4th to pass on the highway or going like 55. and at 45 i could cruise in 5th so that saved some gas vs going to 4th with stock gears.

You Might want to check out the Sn95 cobra section on svtperformance, tons of good info over there.

Intake, Straight through muffler catback (Borla, Bassani, Magnaflow) Not (Flowmaster/Mac), Midpipe (X-pipe with highflow cats or off-road which ever you prefer) and a dyno tune. See what kinda numbers it lays down and go from there.

I got full bolt-ons, intake, 75mm throttle body/plenum, shorties, catted x, and lm1 and only put down 255/298 on a custom tune. If you want to be anywhere close to 300 you gotta think about things like heads and cams. I'm doing cams in the future thus why I went with the larger throttle body. I have heard of 5-spds putting down close to 290 to the wheel with just stage 2 cams, cam gears, and valve springs.

Don't get anything besides a K+N drop in filter, the only intake that really is worth anything is the JLT 4". BUT! you must remove your strutt tower brace to make it fit. To me its not worth it K+N drop in FTW. If you get Longtube headers, the rest of the exhaust, maybe some UDPs which im not a huge fan of you could probably see 290-300whp. OR just get cams lol too bad they're $1200.
