Default NC to Panama City, FL

So spring break is coming around the corner, and it looks like I am going to Panama City. I was originally going to carpool there from Charlotte, but due to the fact it is St. Paddys Day weekend (the weekend im gone,) I gotta come home early for work (I work at an Irish bar in Charlotte). Anyways, what should I take care of before the trip? I will defiantly check tire pressure and change the oil, and I just changed my fuel filter like 2 months ago. Its a 13 hour drive. Anything anybody can tell me about long trips in their stangs? haha. thanks!

I can tell you your lower back will be killing you. A long trip in a stang is just like a long trip in any car. Just make sure your car is squared away before you make the trip. I drove from Philadelphia to Brunswick Georgia with 90k on the clock no problems.

I drove from ATL to Odessa, TX...1200 miles (18 hours) and was pushing about 90K miles at the time as well. No issues at all.

You'll be fine, as will the car. Mine has made the Los Angeles to Seattle run twice (20 hrs. each way doing it "Iron Man" style), with little more than an oil change and thorough detailing prior to leaving L.A.

i make trips from Atlanta to Miami constantly and i have never had any problems (besides police) just make sure you do your basic routine maintenance and you should have no worries.

I've taken mine to kansas a few times. Just make sure ya have a new or cleaned air filter, fresh oil change if needed, tire pressure, a bunch of snacks and drinks, good tunes, and enough for the extra gas you'll burn when you get on it once or twice to add some excitement to the trip (I normally can hold out until oklahoma before I feel the need to stretch her legs). Enjoy the trip and takes lots of pics
