well i can tell you that it shaves off a lot of time, basically when people talk driver mod...thats the biggest thing in my opinion. i could give my car to one of you guys and watch it run 13.7s or 13.8s or i could get in it and rail the **** outta it and run under 13.5 your right its not worth doing unless you want to be able to go as fast as possible.

just keep in mind that my rear was fried and my clutch is still factory at 110k lol i ran my best times the week before this and that was because i hadnt kill my posi yet. didnt do the best 2nd shift, but you can hear 3rd shift really well

I tried it a few times and i mostly made all of them, few times I did it and i miss a gear with people in the car... One time my 1-2 was so hard that my glove box popped open

I don't do it anymore unless I'm at the strip and even then maybe only once.

What happened when you missed the gear....did you grind?

I wonder how bad my 2nd gear looks right now...I regret doing all that powershifting and missing it twice with grinding...

3650s are kinda meh. I used to abuse the 1-2 shift while I had spray... now my 2nd gear synchro is very picky and will grind on hard shifts above 5700 RPM, so I gotta shift gentle.

Not like it matters anyway, first gear = no traction, second is gone when I get boost in these cold temps. I've grinded 2nd pretty damn hard on many an occasion (stupid synchro) to no ill effect, I'm sure it still looks fine, the synchro may just be worn out.

The same will happen to the 2-3 if you're hard on that shift, but I never was because of reported problems. No one ever said the 1-2 went bad. Oops :P

I don't do it any more. I've got my rev limiter set higher than I'll ever go because I don't want to grenade this motor on a fuel-cut rev limiter under boost. Gotta figure a way to trick my ECU into retarding spark to -30 or something and make that my rev limiter. There's just too much risk and no gain because I don't have traction anyway.
