Default Flat Black Mustang Semi Gloss black Mustang

Thinking about flat black or semi gloss black on my 01 GT. my buddy told me a flat black paint job would be alot cheaper than a regular paint job is that true? Any pics or anything would be great. I was thinkin of geting a 3 to 4 inch cowl hood and have that painted also, already have 17 inch black cobra rims.

i'd go with gloss black, i love the sinister look of a flat black car if done right. try flat black with bright-colored but (very) subtle accents. like maybe a red or orange pinstripe down the side or red brake calipers or something like that.

From what I've researched, it will actually be a little more expensive if you want to do it right. BASF makes a line of satin paint under the Carizzma label. The paint job itself would consist of a satin base coat as well as a flat clear coat to protect the paint.
Now if you want to go the cheapest route possible, spray it in flat black primer :-)

Its cheaper in materials, but it makes WHO does the paint job 20x as important. Your labor will be WAY higher, provided your car needs a little work... like most do.
