whoa whoa before i would put paint thinner on the paint on my car i would try very hot water. that is the best way to get rid of latex or water based paint but cold water or even warm water wont do anything. try again with hot water and lots of it

^ Please don't do that to your beautiful Bullitt! I'd go through insurance and see what they can do for you. Sorry to hear about that man!

ive had this happen before. you can use 99% rubbing alcohol SAFELY on your paint. and that should help take the paint off. I can't remember the paint thinner i use, but its from our body shop, but its safe on clearcoat and that should take the road paint right off your car. ive used it to pull paint off, tar, bugs, sap, everything. THINNER WILL NOT HURT YOUR CAR! just dont soak it on there while in the sun where its hot. also just make sure to have a second rag/towel with to wipe off the excess as your going.
