think I fell in love with a car.. Not a mustang?

This is true but u have to push the stang where u would just be lightly modding the evo lol. And it would certainly be cheaper but I still must ask. What do you high horsepower people do in the winter? Does anyone here drive their supercharged or other high horsepower stang in the winter? Or do like all of you have second vehicles? Because that just isn't an option for me anymore :/
If you go with a new evo, there are 3 package levels. Have you figured out which one you would want?

I think Eagle2000GT drives his supercharged stang in the winter as he talks about his winter tires hooking better than his 315 summer sumitomos. lol so he might chime in about that, but you might want to PM him but you better have a second set of wheels with all seasons on them if youre putting a blower on the car.

i drove a supercharged rwd truck last winter and it did fine, with all season tires... dont drive like an idiot and you will be fine in the mustang with some good snow tires...only thing to watch is ground clearance for you lowered guys...dont wanna turn into a snow plow

Hey man, I think anyone that drove an Evo would agree with you. They are great cars, to be honost it was the most fun I had ever had on a test drive. They are so easy to drive with the AWD and you can't beat the "out of the box handling". I have the luxury of keeping my stang in the garage in bad weather or when I have it apart on the garage floor so I was looking for a daily driver. Since I have a family I needed 4 doors and I wanted AWD in the snow and bad weather since I have a long commute and I work at a hospital....therefore I don't get snow days! I ended up with a Saab Turbo X as it just seemed to be the smart decision. With GM having trouble at the time I got the Saab for less than a comparable EVO. It's a good compromise with performance and luxury and I don't feel like a "ricer" though the new body style to me is more mature and to my liking but I am in my 30's. The Evo was just a little too stiff for an hour commute and too much of any good thing could get old. The STI was less abrasive but I can't stand hatchbacks either!
Supercharging the Stang is the cheapest route for sure, but the grass is always greener. You can have just as much fun modding the Evo as well!
good luck.

A friend of mine bought a 2010 evo mr. Not gonna lie, it made me question my allegiances to the mustang crowd for a second. The launch control on that thing on a 0-80 run was the craziest experience I have had in a car. Absolutely amazing........But then I remember the v8 growl that I have and all my worries melt away lol
