Would you trade?

Would you trade?
I have a guy that is talking about trading Mustangs. His is a bone stock 1989 Notch 5.0. Only thing it has is an ORX, 5 Lug swap, and mufflers. It has 89K miles and needs a transmission. Mine is a 96 with the 4V swap, it has the knocking that I can't find and 165K miles. I would keep my Cobra R's and he would keep his 03 rims.
Here is his:
And here is mine.

your car has potential to be a beast, meanwhile his car is stock and needs a tranny...the money your going to spend on changing it use it to take your car to a high performance shop that knows whats going on with your car and get it tuned...

Does your engine have 165k or the car? 5.0 notches are sweet and hard to come by in good condition, but not worth an SN95 with a 4v swap! I guess it's up to you. That 5.0 can be really fast REALLY cheap and already has a 5 lug swap. The paint is ok on it. How is the rest of the car's condition? You can find a used t-5 in good condition for cheap.
If yours didn't have the 4v swap I'd say go for the notch, but that's a lot of work to throw away IMO unless it has some issues.

notches are sexy as hell, and you gotta love a five0. You gotta make the decision on if fixin the 4v is worth it or if the money would be better spent on the notch. Tough one.

your 4v is the mark 8 right? i seem to remember it bieng you that did the detailed how-to. while that motor is definately a great upgrade from the old NPI block, its not going to add as much value to your car as a cobra motor since the mark 8 motors are pretty cheap.
i'd probably do it and have a new car to work on (if i had it my way i'd get a new car every year). i see mustang trannys on craigslist all the time for a few hundred bucks, and im sure you won't have any problems swapping it out. as long as your able to afford a transmission for it, i don't think it would be a bad trade. and with how cheap 5.0 parts are, you can get more upgrades for your money than the 4.6.
it looks like that car may have been in a little fender bender tho? front bumper is a diff color than the panels unless the light is playing tricks on me.

Just found out that he had a bonded title, so no go on it. Was highly considering it, but with a bonded title, you can get it stuck in and broke off so I walked. Yeah, I did the Mark VIII engine route and my car is in great shape aside from that annoying knocking.
