Brake pedal to floor......PLEASE HELP!
#11
when the caliper piston came out, it made the pedal drop to the floor. i see this alot on these. that why every one recommends checking your brakes every 15k. and you always have to watch the inboard pad for wear . the slide's start to hang up, or the internals in the calipers that use the parking brake, start to not release and cause the pad to drag..after while there no material left, and i have seen them kick the metal backing out, and that when the pistons comes out of its bore ,and the pedal drops.
under stand now?

Mustangs are notorious for sticking front calipers. The pedal goes to the floor because the piston stays stuck against the pad and the fluid returns up the line. When he goes to step on the pedal the fluid has to travel thru the line and fill the caliper up enough to get back to the piston... hence the pedal all the way to the floor
its the same concept/feeling as when you replace pads and the calipers are pushed in.. pump the pedal until it gets hard
