1st and 2nd you should be shifting near 6, then for 3-4 short shift at about 4800-5000.. and do it QUICKLY.. I've seen so many people granny shift the hell out of these cars..

Well, this thread was to show me how bad my times really were. The intake man, plenum, TB are back to stock temporarily for smog purposes, but even with stock power, the rest of my setup should keep me in the low 13 range. I took this thing to the track on Saturday and couldn't get lower than a 14.3 @97.9mph With 1.9 60 foots. This is the first time going to the track with this car basically. I took it one other time when I was @ 440rwhp on street tires which was an epic waste of time.

I'm just trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing wrong. I should be low 13s maybe even high 12s from what others with similar setups are running. I can't imagine that I am that horrible of a driver that I am losing over a second to shifting etc... I know that I certainly have room to improve, but I didn't think I was that bad.

Should I be feathering the clutch at all to prevent a bog after initial launch? Or are my best 60fts going to be with dropping the clutch around 5500? I am not really spinning at all when dropping the clutch, but it doesn't seem to have enough power to keep the nose up all the way through first right after the initial hook off the line.

funny maybe i should try his way some time...lol he shifts at 5800 tho, and then shot shift the 3-4 but ive tried that and ive had better luck with my 6k shifts, and running out 3rd. but then again what kind of shape is his car in? cuz mine is pretty beat up. so who knows. but i did try shorting the 3-4 and didnt help...slowed me down, and i shift like he does, or pretty close anyway.
