Default One more use for a mustang. Towing.

I just had to tow my dad home....in rush hour.... with an 8 foot tow rope.... and I did it in my mustang. He drives a 1998 Dodge ram extended cab 5.9L... About 5500LBS, give or take. Had to tow about 25 miles to my house. The mustang earned her keep today. It looked like the little wasp that killed the HUGE spider and was attempting to drag it off.

Mine has the hidden hitch that the guy that owned it b4 me put on, but I will never use. I got a 4x4 ranger that is my work horse and if she broke down a way from home I would suck it up and call a tow truck. I did pull a Eagle Talon with my old Monte Carlo with a doubled up piece of cloths line once.

I normally wouldn't either, but it was an emergency situation. My dad just got a bone marrow transplant and my sister and I were taking him home, I was in the stang a few miles ahead and she had him in the truck. Not much choice.

Where the bumper attaches to the frame, there is a nice solid bracket. Wrapped around that.

If it were me I would have just paid for a tow for him rather than risk hurting anything on my UNIBODY mustang.
