It might, no guarantees though. Mine have a slight hum to them and mine were set up right. Triple checked everything, and I did set my backlash toward the tighter side, so I wasn't expecting them to be whisper quiet. But I've beat the hell out of mine numerous times and they're fine (5k rpm clutch dumps in 2nd gear, 1/4 mile pulls, etc). As long as its not vibrating or banging around don't worry about it. You would know if something was wrong. It would be pretty loud and such.

5k rpm clutch dump in second gear?

you should go take a video of that, ill believe it when i see it

i tried that once just to see what would happen....car jumped forward and stalled, and the entire cabin was FILLED with clutch smoke...i had to evacuate the car and leave the doors open to let it air out for a few mins, and it glazed so hard that for the next few days i could smell it burning every time i shifted gears

Every time i do it the tires break loose instantly. But if you want I'll get a video of it when it gets nice out. Currently pouring here at the moment.

What measurement did you get when you measured the backlash? And how many times did you measure it?

So did my buddy when he had his 3.73's. He also had drag radials and it wasn't a problem.
