Exclamation Antifreeze in my coil pack

My car was missing so i took the plugs out and number 5 had anti-freeze in the top of it up to the top of the plug and the coil pack was soaked, i heard that it could be from the intake maifold gasket going bad and leaking in?the car does sit all winter and it just happened out of no where. Any Ideas?

intake manifold is cracked at the thermostat housing...buy a new intake manifold with an aluminum crossover and you will be good to go...if the miss continues afterwards from that cylinder, the COP is dead...when mine cracked the coolant fried the COP....goodluck getting it back running again! hate to see this happen

Yea it ended up being the intake manifold gasket and the COP was fried so i picked one up from a town car for $30 so i was pretty happy about that. Thanks for the tip though I was thinking about buying a Typhoon for it, have you heard anything about those?

did you check the manifold very thoroughly? the crack in mine was so small i couldnt see it until i took it off the car....these are notorious for cracking the actual manifold, so dont be surprised if the coolant comes back...

typhoons are absolute garbage....no need to update the intake manifold until youre making high HP or plan to go forced induction...the stock unit is a good unit and is not the choke point on these cars

goodluck with everything!

un upgraded to a typhoon knock off!!! lol but its not an upgrade, i just wanted no plastic...mainly because mine broke in the back not where the metal crossover fixes it. In the long run probebly should have stuck with plastic one, costs a lot less, and heat soak is noticable. But i think the intake does ok until the heat soak! ahah
